CATEGORY 2, ENRTY 1

In 2006, after appearing in an Atlanta court on May 10 and having charges that he threatened a man outside a strip club last year dropped for lack of evidence, T.I. was arrested on an outstanding probation violation warrant from Florida. The warrant claimed that T.I. did not complete the required number of community service hours he was sentenced for a 2003 assault of a female sheriff deputy at University Mall in Tampa. T.I. was detained by several mall Security Guards at the time of the incident. The rapper’s attorney said that the problem was nothing more than a "technical matter" between Georgia and Florida. The confusion arose because T.I. was also sentenced to community service in Georgia for driving with a suspended license, for which he did complete 75 hours of community service in his home state. The rapper was released on bail shortly after being arrested, and was expected to surrender to Florida state authorities the following week to resolve the matter. On October 13, 2007, federal authorities arrested T.I. four hours before the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta. He was charged with two felonies possession of three unregistered machine guns and two silencers, and possession of firearms by a convicted felon. The arrest was made in the parking lot of a downtown shopping center, which a witness identified as the Walgreens drug store at the corner of North and Piedmont Avenues. T.I. was arrested after allegedly trying to purchase the guns from a "cooperating witness" with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The probation officer of hip-hop artist T.I. has asked the rapper to return to his hometown of Atlanta, according to Don Samuel, one of T.I.'s attorneys. The request came after the rapper was arrested Wednesday night, along with his wife, on suspicion of possessing methamphetamines after police allegedly smelled marijuana smoke coming from their Maybach during a traffic stop in West Hollywood, officials said. T.I. is currently on probation for federal weapons charges. U.S. Attorney Sally Yates, Atlanta's top federal law enforcement official, said she would not speculate on what could happen to T.I. "The probation office is in the process of determining what happened and will make a recommendation regarding Mr. Harris when they have all the facts, she said. T.I's probation officer can opt to modify the terms of his probation, such as to require that he take more drug counseling classes and undergo more frequent drug tests, or the officer could ask the judge to revoke the rapper's probation, which was set to end in 2013. If the latter happens, it could mean more prison time for the rapper. That decision will be left up to U.S. District Judge Charles Pannell, Jr., who presided over the rapper's original case. The rapper spent seven months in an Arkansas federal prison and three months in a Georgia halfway house on federal weapons charges. Since that case, the 29-year-old rapper proclaimed that he had shifted his life in a new direction. He gave several speeches about the dangers of drugs and guns, and former United Nations Ambassador Andrew Young was one of his supporters. Young was skeptical about the charges and circumstances of the rapper's arrest

According to federal officials, the witness had been cooperating with authorities a few days prior to the T.I. arrest, when the cooperating witness was arrested on charges of trying to purchase guns from a federal agent. The witness had been working as T.I.'s bodyguard since July, authorities said. T.I. walked out of the Atlanta United States District Court after appearing before U.S. Magistrate Judge Alan J. Baverman on October 26, 2007. Judge Alan J. Baverman required T.I. post a $3 million bond, $2 million in cash and $1 million in equity on property he owns. The rapper was required to remain at home except for medical appointments and court appearances. The only people allowed to live with him were his girlfriend and children. Visitors were required to be approved by the court. T.I.'s suppression hearing was scheduled for February 19, 2008. The performer later pleaded guilty to U.S. federal weapons charges. He was sentenced to an undefined prison sentence, a year of house arrest and 1,500 hours of community service. On March 27, 2009, U.S. District Judge Charles A. Pannell, Jr. sentenced T.I. to one year and one day in prison and ordered to pay $100,300 for federal weapons charges; T.I. had his sentence reduced from a maximum 10 years and a $250,000 fine with a plea bargain. On May 26, 2009, T.I. began serving his sentence in Forrest City, Arkansas. Two days prior to being imprisoned, T.I. performed a farewell concert at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.  T.I. was released from FCC Forrest City on December 22, 2009 and was moved into a halfway house in Atlanta T.I. had the Federal Bureau of Prisons ID 59458-019 and was released from CCM Atlanta on March 26, 2010. After his release from prison, he was subjected to an audit of his finances, drug counseling, DNA testing, and random searches of his property

Reflection
I agree with this because it’s all of his accomplishments and its shows people what all he has done. Also with that being said how he change he ways in to becoming a better role model to trouble kids. He knew how to estimate his mistakes in to a better way of showing others that there is a better way into having a better attitude then to show it in a negative way. He also realizes that he has a family to attend to and show that there are good fathers that are out there in the world today. He accomplish his goals when he did time in jail and came out in a positive manner to where children can look up to him as a positive  person, instead of some rapper that’s just thugging. As you set examples out to others people will reach to where they need to be in life instead.

Conclusion
In conclusion, Clifford Joseph Harris known as T.I the rapper has went through many things in his life but has also been successful. Throughout his life he went through hard times such as being a drug dealer when he was younger. He went through having his father passing away. That was one of the hardest times that he went on in his time. His acting career was a big success that has put him back where he needs to be. The shows that he has made about his like is for all kids to realize that what will happen if they don’t straighten up but also to see that people make mistakes and they learn from it. Throughout his show he let people know that prison is not a joke and its hard time. Therefore in my opinion T.I is not a bad influence. Now that is he out of jail and getting back on track he has done nothing but positive things that has helped him as a person, a father, and husband. He loves nothing more than being at home with his family and enjoying his music career. T.I is the kind of man that will help whoever is in need no matter what. He will try to lead you down the right way because he wouldn’t want you going through some of the things he had to go through. He has learned a lot in his life time going through what he has been through.
